A year ago today the gifted musician Robbie Robertson passed away. His heritage was multi vocal – a Canadian born to a First Nations mother and Jewish father.
Please see a few links below related to this legendary Canadian First Nations Jewish composer and musician. The first piece was authored by Habonim member Ken Sherman and published yesterday in Tablet Magazine. The other two links are from an event held last August at my cottage on the First Nations island, Christian Island, featuring words of memory delivered on behalf of me, and Robbie Robertson music from Tom Bellman.
