Shalom {{first_name}},
As a parent of a school-age child, we want to bring the enriching program at the Habonim Jewish Heritage School to your attention.
“Throughout the centuries, when the vast majority of Europe was illiterate, Jews maintained an educational infrastructure as their highest priority. It is no exaggeration to say that this lay at the heart of the Jewish ability to survive catastrophe, negotiate change and flourish in difficult circumstances.”
Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks zt”l
The recent school year taught all of us how important our unity is, as a nation and as people, how important our identity and our pride are, how important Israel is for all of us, and how significant educating our children about it is, for the next generations and for them to be able to deal with the reality recent events brought to the people in Israel and to Jews in Canada and all over the world.
The Habonim Jewish Heritage school will continue to nourish Jewish values and pride, Ivrit and Torah stories, holidays and Jewish traditions, alongside Ahavat Israel, thought games, arts and crafts and experiential learning, through holiday celebrations with our community, guest speakers, virtual tours, JNF activities and Tzedakah initiatives, and through our Shinshinim program. This is a great time to introduce to you our new Shinshinim for next year, Shahar and Lia. They shared this video with us.
