Introducing Intergenerational B'nei Mitzvah at Habonim:
Honouring the Past, Celebrating the Future Together
Imagine the joy and inspiration of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah ceremony shared by a child alongside a parent or grandparent who never had the chance to celebrate this milestone! Often, parents, and especially grandparents, missed their own Bar or Bat Mitzvah for various reasons, but now they have the chance to celebrate their "rite of passage" together with their child or grandchild. At Habonim, we are excited to offer a special opportunity for families to celebrate this powerful milestone together through Intergenerational B’nei Mitzvah.
This wonderful opportunity allows those who may have missed their own Bar or Bat Mitzvah, the joy of chanting Torah and celebrating this sacred rite of passage with loved ones. Like the Passover Seder, this tradition provides each generation with a way to enrich the moment, honouring our values of "L'dor Va'dor:" from generation to generation.
